Sealing of the (C) and (D) layers of the medium voltage cable (B) is made by using stress control tape (2) and stress control tube (3). Possible gaps on the cable lug (1) are eliminated by using filling mastics (4).

Cable screening (E) elements:
In case of wire screening: PVC tape (7), shielded earth connection lug (11).
In case of tape screening: adhesive copper tape (8), tinned copper mesh (9), constant force spring (10).
The termination is protected against weathering, UV radiation and mechanical effects by antitrack tube (5) and rain sheds (6), shrunk onto the outer jacket (F).
